Pictures from yesterday
After being away for the weekend (what a great ladies' retreat.. I haven't gone away alone in years and years, and the time away really renewed my soul.. still editing photos and processing the trip), I've been on recovery mode ever since coming back. Very little time on the computer, except for homeschooling (we use AOP Monarch online) and book keeping.
After the retreat I took a trip to our New Hampshire house (we are still trying to sell it) and loaded the car with more things to bring to Maine (like casserole dishes, a vacuum cleaner, rain boots, printer, food etc. - after being here a week we've found all kinds of odds and ends lacking), and picked up a friend of the kids. Since coming back late Sunday night we've been cleaning & organizing our (new) old Maine house (still not done). We are definitely settling in here: no immediate plans to return to Florida any time soon or start cruising in our RV - we are happy to be in Maine... (at least that is the way the wind is blowing at the moment.)
Today our mail from Florida arrived, and that kept me busy all afternoon and evening. Once I finished, I felt so pleased about all my accomplishments (a full day of homeschooling six kids, outside time & all the book keeping), I felt like a Superwoman. Until I saw the Captain hand washing his underwear in our bathroom sink... Oops! Then I remembered him bringing home pizza tonight too - I guess the Superwoman title and Wife Of The Year Award won't be coming to our family this year!!! (I think he is in trouble, I have at least three more days before I run out of clean clothes and have to think about the laundromat in town... ;-)
Before I head to bed, I just have to share: we are expecting snow, sleet, rain and ice tomorrow. Yup! It's Maine!

Sumukuvia eiliseltä, huomiselle on taas luvattu lunta, loskaa, sadetta ja jäätä..
Olin viikonlopun naisten retriitillä Mainen merenrannalla, kuvia edelleen tulossa (muutama edellisessä postauksessa). Upea viikonloppu oli, mutta siitä lähtien on riittänyt hommaa. Tänään sain kotikoulun lisäksi kirjanpitotyöt tehtyä, kun posti sai meidät vihdoin kiinni. Olin hyvin ylpeä aikaansaannoksistani, kunnes näin Kapteenin nyrkkipyykillä vessassa - puhtaat alusvaatteet loppu. Ei tule Hyvä Vaimo-palkintoa tänäkään vuonna tähän perheeseen ;-)
Mitä siitä jos puhtaat alusvaatteet unohtuu -- sullahan on aivan älyttömästi muistamista ja tekemistä! Ihmettelen miten ylipäänsä pysyt kasassa :D Mulla meinaa kahden lapsen ja yhden miehen kanssa muisti pettää. Kun joku tulee kyselemään lasten syntymäpainoa tai henkilötunnusta, alkaa muisti rakoilla ja pahasti. Lusikat meinaa mennä roskiin ja jogurttipurkit tiskikoneeseen... Mielestäni ansaitset kyllä sen hyvä vaimo-palkinnon! :)

ReplyDeleteThere are far too many days when I had accomplished so much, felt so good about it, then remembered something that I needed to do that I should have never forgotten. That can really take the wind out of your sales. :)
viluinen, tutulta kuulostaa! Eilen piti muistaa sosiaaliturvatunnus, ja ei kun piti kaivaa se esille, en muistanut. Ja tänään meni yli puoli päivää sängyssä pahan migreenin kanssa :-/
