Chives, Thyme, Basil, Cilantro, Tarragon

Photo & Video Sharing by SmugMug

Yesterday we put our green thumbs to work.

Well, at least our thumbs and fingers.

One of the boys walked over to see what we were working on, and innocently asked if any of our previous plantings had ever grown anything.

Like that has anything to do with anything.

We planted Chives, Thyme, Basil, Cilantro, Tarragon, and Easter grass!

And now we wait. With hopeful hearts. Again.

Pikkuneidin kanssa istutimme yrttejä eilen. Isoveli käveli katsomaan, mitä täällä tapahtuu, ja sattui kysymään: "Onko mikään teidän istutettu kasvi koskaan alkanut kasvamaan?" Niinkuinsilläolisimitäänasiankanssatekemistä.

Nyt odotetaan.

  2. Thank you, Heidi!!!!!!! Both my mom and my MIL are amazing gardeners, and it's a bit embarrassing not to be able to grow anything, lol!!! Although, our Easter grass is sprouting, so maybe there's hope...??

  3. what fun! We have a little herb garden in one of our raised beds in the backyard. This weekend the kids planted parsley and chives. We never end up eating our parsley because the Swallowtail butterflies find it and lay their eggs there. We usually have multiple hatches and caterpillars/new butterflies all summer! I need to get some basil going too!
Looks like your sweet girl was having fun even if they don't all grow:) Hope you had a beautiful Easter! Been thinking of you:)

  5. All our herbs died! =( Literally overnight. The only thing that survived was the cat grass, except then one of the cats ate it all up...and knocked the plant pot off the counter and proceeded to play in the dirt all over the kitchen floor. HA

  6. Oh no, Bethany!!! That's pretty funny, though:) Our herbs started sprouting, but then stopped. Little Miss is still watering them, but they are dead.. The Easter grass did great!
