For the past three years on our way back north from Florida we have stopped in Virginia, and visited Busch Gardens Christmas Town in Williamsburg. (See year 2011, 2011 (take two), and 2012.) Yes, we do know there is a Christmas Town in Tampa, and we have just departed Tampa Bay area, and no, we haven't visited the Tampa one. Maybe one of these years? What can I say, sometimes we really are creatures of habit.
It has been a wonderful way to get into Christmas mode by walking around the park, listening to Christmas music and looking at all the pretty lights. The shows are fantastic, and the kids (and kids-at-heart) love all the rides, too.
Christmas Town isn't trying to be politically correct - we heard many 'Merry Christmas' wishes, listened to songs about the real reason of Christmas - Jesus - and admired the lit nativity scene. We are all for supporting businesses that share our values.
Way to go, Busch Gardens!!

Kolmena vuotena peräkkäin olemme käyneet Virginian Joulukaupungissa, ja niin tänäkin vuonna. Itse asiassa kävimme tässä jouluisessa huvipuistossa kahtena iltana Kiitospäivän jälkeen siskoni perheen kanssa. Ihana perinne! Mukaan tarttuu joulumieli, kun kuuntelee joululauluja (myös kristillisiä, jee!), ja ihailee jouluisia valoja puistossa. Heillä on upeita lyhyitä musikaali-tanssiesityksiä myös, ja osa huvipuiston laitteista on auki. Yksi vuoden suosikkipaikoista!
