Reading Gallery II/Lukugalleria II

We had an amazing breakthrough this week!

I have shared here before how Little Miss has struggled through her reading journey. We are so glad we are homeschooling, as it has allowed her to proceed at her own pace. Since she has been making progress, we haven't been worried.

One day this week she got tired of waiting for me (to be ready to listen to her read), and quietly started on her own. To her amazement she got through the chapter all on her own, and actually enjoyed it!

I really really hope this is the start of her falling in love with reading. Little Miss already loves stories, I read to her (we are currently reading through the old Nancy Drew books in addition to our school books), and she listens to audio books just about every night, and we would be so thrilled if she would start devouring books on her own, too!

  1. Something similar happening in our household! Luana has been inmersed in a book to the point of locking herself in the bathroom and reading there as well as staying up very late because she couldn't put the book down. Hubby doesn't quite understand that but I'm thrilled as I used to be just like that when I was her age and I've been just waiting for this to happen :D
