Nantucket is a beautiful little island off of Cape Cod in Massachusetts. A very busy place during summer season, but wonderfully grey, sleepy, and dreamy (and cold!) in March.
We took a quick trip to the island to get some work done last week.
The forecast was rain, rain and rain for our entire stay. And it did rain. A lot. We were so thankful it wasn't pouring during the packing of the trailer, or most of our walk, or our walk back to the ferry. Drizzle was fine.
Streets were quiet, houses were closed, providing us a delightful little outing.
These pictures are just not the same without Missy!!! When we get back to Nantucket this July, she will get her photo taken by this brick wall, too:)
Nantucket had had a serious snow storm with hurricane strength winds a few days before we got to the island. There was barely any sign of it, anymore. Little snow piles here and there, and some branches on the ground.
We saw our first signs of spring!!

Nantucketin saari on kesäisin kiireinen paikka, mutta näin maaliskuussa unelias, harmaa ja hiljainen. Ihana. Meillä oli ihan pikainen työreissu saarelle. Sadetta oli luvattu koko ajaksi, muttei onneksi satanut rankasti tärkeimpinä aikoina: peräkärryn täyttämisen, kävelykierroksemme ja lautalle palaamisen aikana. Litimärkänä olisi ollut aika surkeaa, kylmä kun tietysti vielä oli meren ympäröimänä. Lyhyellä ajalla sain paljon kuvia otettua, teen vielä erillisen blogipostauksen loppukuvista. Ja kesällä sitten Missystä kuva saman seinän luona!!
No on kylla ihana hiljainen ja unelias tunnelma. Ja ihan varmasti aivan toisenlainen kuin kesalla. Tuonne on kylla pakko paasta kaymaan oli vuodenaika mika tahansa. Ihania kuvia! :)
