Creation Museum

Creation Museum
in Petersburg, Kentucky, had been on our travel list for quite a while now. This past week we finally made our way there. We had heard many good things about the museum, and it didn't disappoint. The Captain says it was the best museum he has ever been to.

The Captain and our boys (age 15) spent a long time studying each exhibit. They found it all very fascinating. There was so much to study, learn, and read about, two different planetarium shows and many interesting lectures to attend to. We also picked up some great resources at their museum store.

Little Miss (age 8) liked going through the museum on a scavenger hunt with mom, but in about two hours was done. Good thing we were traveling in our Mothership so she got all the breaks she needed. I think this would be very individual, I know many eight year olds who would get a lot (more) out of Creation Museum.

Little Miss did enjoy the outdoors. It was warmer than in Ohio, and we walked in the botanical gardens for a long time.

We all enjoyed the petting zoo, and maybe next time we'll try the Creation Museum zip lines. (Or some of us, rather.)

We spent two days at the Creation Museum - a minimum, really. If you buy regular tickets, they are valid for two days. Larger families might want to consider a family pass for the year (that is what we did). This year there is a promotional, children under the age of twelve are free with a full-price adult ticket.

So, another two thumbs up from Our Mothership Adventures! The museum is located near Cincinnati, and their website has many suggestions on lodgings, other attractions, and tips on visiting. Go if you can!

  1. That is only like two hours from me. I've always wanted to go...and never have. I need to change that! It looks great!
